Dr. Andrade has achieved various academic milestones throughout her career. In 2008, she earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the same institution in 2005. Her academic journey began with a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2002 and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Federal University Fluminense (UFF) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Dr. Andrade's extensive research and academic expertise make her an invaluable asset to any organization or educational institution seeking to engage in these work areas. Her experience and knowledge have grown with each milestone she has achieved. In 2020, she assumed the position of Associate Chair for Undergraduate Programs within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has been a senior lecturer in the same department since 2015.

Dr. Andrade has an impressive track record of academic accomplishment. Notably, from 2005 to 2012, she served as a graduate research assistant at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland. During this time, she also held the position of graduate teaching assistant within the same department from 2009 to 2012. 

Additionally, between 2012 and 2013, she was a research associate at the Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her discipline is due to another research associate position at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland from 2014 to 2015.

Furthermore, she completed an internship at the DC Water and Sewer Authority's Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant from 2006 to 2011. Natasha also worked as a student laboratory technician at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland from 2004 to 2005.

Natasha Andrade, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished senior lecturer and associate chair for undergraduate programs. She specializes in engineering education research, pedagogy curriculum development, reforestation, mercury contamination, persistent organic pollutants, bioavailability, passive sampling, wastewater, biosolids, remediation, GIS, ArcMap 9.3, GC/MS, GC/ECD, and HPLC. In addition, she is bilingual and fluent in both English and Portuguese.
