I hail from the Lansing area, where I started my career in hospitality waiting tables at a small diner when I was 17. By my early 20's I had worked my way up to assistant manager at a fine dining restaurant in East Lansing. I enjoyed the work but had always been artistic and wanted to pursue an art degree. While working full time, I studied for two years at Lansing Community College and transferred to Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design.
